This morning I have been playing around with CSS. I know it doesn’t look too great just now, but I’ll fix it soon… maybe. I want to get back to working on my main PHP project, but it’s such a drag working on it without the lovely syntax high-lighting of a useful editor…

Something interesting is happening at the moment; I feel like I’m figuring something out, a resolution of the warring factions prehaps – perhaps involving the elimination of one… hmm……

I like to go for rambling, aimless walks, though bush or suburbs, and sometimes I post here the words and pictures that I collect on these walks. Sometimes, it's not the physical world I'm exploring, but the contents of the stacks of a library; things I find there may end up here, too.

I am a computer programmer by trade, working for a small company in South Fremantle. I also contribute to a few little open source projects (Wordpress plugins, etc.). I write about these things here, working things out, announcing updates, musing on how things ought to be done.

'Reading' in the broad sense, but usually to do with texts that are made of text.

This blog began as a way for me to document my workshop practice when I was at the ANU school of art in Canberra. Now my life has moved away from working at the bench, but I still post about the small projects that I do get to work on, and the joy that I find in working wood by hand.
