This is me testing the comments, after adding the template. Shawndouglas (talk) 01:41, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- Yeah this is the idea; do you think it's workable? Welcome (talk) 01:42, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- I do! I admittedly don't know much about making more granular permissions in MediaWiki. I wonder if you could make a special user group in User group rights so that a logged in user could only access the functions of the Blog post comments template. I have much to learn still. - Oh, and it would be nice to redirect back to the page commented on after "Save changes" instead of taking you to the Talk page of the post. Shawndouglas (talk) 01:49, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- It'd be possible to restrict editing to talk pages only. See mw:Manual:$wgNamespaceProtection. And yeah, the redirect back thing is possible I think; it just has to be added to the links in the template. Although maybe a PageForms form would be a better way to make a comment. - Also, I don't know jack about Lua coding, but I think your Chronology module has some sort of formatting issue for dates? I looked and found an example of the same error, where an individual "Removed Unicode Character 'LEFT-TO-RIGHT MARK' (U+200E) from dates"? It looks like the dates were formatted "12 December 2009" instead of "2009-12-12"? Don't know if there's a similar problem with your module and how it formats dates. - Or maybe since it only throws on the documentation page and not on your actual blog posts, you're ignoring it. Shawndouglas (talk) 03:40, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
